Baptism preparation evenings take place every couple of months in the Priest’s House – please check our Parish Newsletter for the next one. Through these evenings we hope to help parents become fully aware of the great mission entrusted to them in bringing up their children in the practice of the faith.

All parents who ask for their child to be baptised are invited to one of these reasonably informal evenings, during which parents will be helped with further understanding the Sacrament of Baptism – looking at the ‘why’ of Baptism – and with the practicalities of the Baptism service.

Baptisms take place most weekends on Saturdays or Sundays.

If you wish to request a Baptism certificate please email our Archive Team at saintpeterarchives@gmail.com providing all the relevant details such as childs full details,  date of birth, date of baptism and parents names.

Please arrange babysitters for the preparation evenings, since it can be very difficult if young children and babies attend the evening!
